INDUSTRIAL DESIGN EDUCATION CENTER
|
|

In 1999, Original board of
BEGEV Foundation, which aimed to establish a vocational collegiate
school and a foundation university to Bursa, had meet with the
Administrative Board of Bursa Industrialists’ and Businessmen
Association (BUSIAD), whose aim was to establish a school of design.
Both institutions started to work together for the purpose of their
common intention.
With the contribution of
institutions and volunteer businessmen, they decided to bring in
professional education courses, which was the first step towards their
goal. They cooperated
with the
Administration
of Technical Education
for Men (Ministry of Education) and signed a protocol for common
education. Unison of Craftsmen and Artisans, gave support by offering
the 1200-meter square empty space of their building which is located
in Besevler Industrial Estate.
Bursa, an important
industry center of our country, had finally acquired its “Industrial
Design Education Center”, through the organization, which BEGEV and
BUSIAD had conducted together. The center had opened its doors and
began its duty on Tuesday, May 29, 2001 with the participation of our
ministers. |
